Implicit Bias is a “positive or negative mental attitude towards a person, thing, or group that a person holds at an subconscious level”.
We all hold bias. Also, many of us believe that we don’t. The New York Times did a series on Implicit Bias last year, these videos break down the definitions in a way that most can understand. If you are searching for resources or just interested for your own education, they are great.
We also included the link for the Implicit Bias test. If you know where your blindspots are you can do a more effective job of overcoming them.
