Do we accept the world as it is or do we work for the world as it could be?

There is a concept called the “Butter Fly Effect.” It basically says that every action we take has far reaching implications; that a butterfly wings breeze can change the weather 200, 400, 1000 miles away. It has been tested and traced. As far as any of us can tell, it’s true, every action has a consequence and reaction.

In the yoga industry of the United States, there is a cult of personality. We have taken a philosophy of being and turned it in to a commodity. What is amazing about Yin is that it is non-commodified. The founder, Paul Grilley, wasn’t interested in trade marking or marketing. He wanted yoga to be for people, to be a shared practice of healing.

In the upcoming Yin and Social Justice training you have the opportunity to collaborate with likeminded folks. While the teachers are amazing, it’s not their qualifications that will make the training, it’s the passion that each participant brings with them.

Yoga is a practice in seeing the world as it could be, integrating all that is with the highest aspirations. Social Justice is a practice in leadership, integrating all that is with the highest aspirations of what is possible. Each decision we make has long reaching effects.

Today you can decide to change the world, starting with the smallest action of showing up.
